Terms of Service
Last updated October 9, 2026
These terms cover our authentication service, our certificates and QR stickers, and the records on this site. If you submit an item or rely on one of our records, these terms apply to you.
1. Who we are
Ink Vault Registry is an independent autograph authentication and registry service. We don't buy, sell, consign or appraise autographs.
2. Our opinions are not guarantees
Authenticating a signature after it was signed is expert judgment, not an exact science. Each certificate and record is our opinion about the signature on the item we examined. Our opinion can change if new information comes to light, and mistakes are possible.
We don't guarantee that any signature is genuine, and we make no other promises about the item. Our opinions, certificates and records are provided “as is”.
3. What a record covers
- A record covers only the item pictured, as examined on the date shown.
- The QR sticker links the item to its record. Printing on the sticker material (such as the word “Authentic” in the hologram) doesn't add to that.
- A record is void if its sticker has been tampered with, removed or moved, or isn't genuine.
- Records aren't appraisals and don't state the item's value.
4. Declined items and corrections
We may decline to examine an item or to give an opinion. If new information changes our opinion, we may update or withdraw a record.
5. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, the most we're responsible for, for any claim about an item, certificate, sticker or record, is the fee paid to us for that item. We aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits, a change in the item's value, or sentimental value.
6. Buyers and later owners
If you're a buyer or later owner relying on one of our records, these terms apply to you in the same way as to the person who submitted the item. Always check that the item matches the photo in the record.
7. No affiliation
We aren't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any signer, studio, league or other authentication company. Names of people, films and other works appear only to identify the item.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version on this page, with its date, applies from the day it's posted.
